KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai has flown to flood affected areas of Kaski district on Sunday morning by Nepal Army(NA) helicopter.
Besides taking an aerial view of flood-ravaged areas, PM is expected to instruct the rescuers—Nepal Army and Nepal Police to expedite search operation in the affected areas.
The Premier is also programmed to meet the flood affected people, listen to their plights and assure them of all the assistance from the government.
A massive flood in Seti River on Saturday wreaked havoc in Kharapani of Sardikhola VDC, Sadal of Machhapuchhre VDC, in Yamdi and Ramghat and other adjoining places of Kaski district.
By Saturday night, 13 bodies were recovered and it has been learnt that more than 50 are missing.
PM Bhattarai has also been accompanied by UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bijay Kumar Gachhadar.
