PM warns against bandh

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai on Saturday warned one of his ministers, whose party has announced a bandh, of serious consequences if the slated programme was not called off. Rastriya Janamukti Party led by Minister for Labour and Transport Management Malwar Singh Thapa has called a three-day bandh starting
Sunday. “The prime minister has strong views that an incumbent minister’s party should not call any sort of bandh. He has asked the minister to withdraw the bandh or face severe consequences,” PM Bhattarai’s aide Biswodeep Pandey told The Himalayan Times.
