KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai has intensified parleys with the political leaders following the directive of President Dr Ram Baran Yadav.
In line with the directive, Prime Minister Bhattarai on Friday morning has called on Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala at the latter’s residence in Maharajgunj.
It is learnt that Prime Minister Bhattarai urged Koirala to cooperate with him for the formation of a national unity government and create a conducive atmosphere for holding fresh CA polls.
NC President Koirala has said that his party has been forced to go with the people owing to the mistrust cropped up by the prime minister’s unilateral call for fresh CA polls with the dissolution of the Constituent Assembly.
During the meeting, Bhattarai said that he will agree with any agreements forged among the parties, according to Prime Minister’s aide Bishwodeep Pandey.
Prime Minister Bhattarai had called on UML Chairman Jhala Nath Khanal yesterday evening.
