"The concerned management should make Nepali workers skilled and replace non-Nepalis accordingly"

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Labour and Transport Management (MoLTM) has urged business houses and other organisations to employ non-Nepalis only after receiving permission.


The ministry has said that action will be taken against those employing foreign nationals without receiving permission as per the law.


Saying that employing non-Nepalis without authorisation makes the country's unemployment further complicated, MoLTM has called on all concerned organisations to hire a foreign national up to maximum five years for one time and up to seven years in case of highly skilled workers. "The concerned management should make Nepali workers skilled and replace non-Nepalis accordingly," it said.
