KATHMANDU: Aiming for the overall personal development of its students, staff and faculty, the Namuna College of Fashion Technology (NCFT)organised The Personality Enrichment and Interaction Program (PEIP) on April 24 at college premises. PEIP is a regular event at NCFT.
As per the press release issued by NCFT, the participants got a chance to enhance their overall personal development through interactions with eminent personalities from various walks of life in the event.
Saurabh Jyoti, Director of Jyoti Group and Chairman/Founding Trustee of Nepal Youth Business Foundation shared his views and experiences on entrepreneurship and its vital role in economic development of a nation.
Jyoti also suggested the students make attempts to become entrepreneurs and job creators rather than being job seekers. Instead of dreaming to working for big fashion brands, have dream of becoming the ‘big brand’ and work to achieve that dream, the statement quoted Jyoti as saying.
He also reiterated to the students to be opportunity seekers, be proactive rather than reactive, to think beyond the box, to focus on quality rather than quantity and to not be intimidated by challenges as there are always opportunities that come along with them.
In the event Jyoti also gave a brief power-point presentation on Nepal Youth Business Foundation (NYBF) and highlighted
its mission, objectives, and the services it offers including a start-up loan up to Rs 150,000 and mentoring/counselling to financially challenged young people desiring to be entrepreneurs.
