BIRATNAGAR: The district authorities in Udayapur have closed the Rajesh Oil Station at local Katari for committing irregularities in the sale of petroleum products.
A team of monitors assigned by the Department of Commerce found that the petrol station had been cheating the consumers by selling them less quantity of petrol. It is said the petrol station sold 100 millilitres less in every litre of petrol it sold.
The team sealed the petrol pump and assigned the responsibility to the Department of Weights and Metrology for initiating action against its proprietor.
