KATHMANDU: The Nepal Police Club (NPC) defeated the defending champions Mega Three Star Club (MTSC) 2-0 to lift the British Gurkha Cup 2012 at the Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu on Saturday.

Both the goals were made in the first half of the match. The NPC's Yogesh Shrestha scored the first goal in the 15th minute of the match and Bharat Shah added one more at the 29th minute.

The new champions NPC bagged a cash prize of Rs 10 lakhs along with the trophy, while the MTSC received a cash prize of Rs 5 lakhs.
