Police fire bullets to control scuffle

NAWALPARASI: Police fired bullets at Tharu agitators in Kawasoti, of Nawalparasi to resist the pelted stones by the fomenters.
More than a half dozen of agitators, police inspectors along with six other police personnel have been injured in the scuffle which was ensued in front of Kali Gandaki hospital on Wednesday.
Police personnel were bound to fire after the police inspectors-- Umesh Lamsal,Dilli Narayan Pandey, and DSP Krishna Prasad Khanal happened to sustain injuries in the dogfight.
Protesters including Dhan Bahadur Thanet, Mahendra Magar, Tara Bahadur Thanet, Bishal Mahato have also been injured.
The injured are receiving treatment at Bharatpur Medical College in Chitwan, DSP Gyan Bikram Shah said.
