Police will nab bombing culprits soon: PM Bhattarai

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai said on Wednesday that government will leave no stone unturned to hunt down the culprits who engineered the bombing blast in the heart of Janakpur on Monday.

Police will nab them at the earliest, said Bhattarai who reached TU Teaching Hospital at Maharajgunj this morning to inquire about the condition of the people injured in bomb blast, which had killed four and injured twenty eight others.

Condemning the deadly blast, PM Bhattarai said Council of Ministers is all set to declare them as martyrs.

“Those who lost their lives in Janakpur blast on Monday will be declared martyrs and those who have sustained injuries will receive a relief package along with a proper treatment,” said PM Bhattarai

Eighteen among the injured are undergoing treatment at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, while two of the critically injured are undergoing treatment at the ICU.

When the injured people complained to the prime minister that they are not getting good care and treatment, PM not merely wished them a speedy recovery but also pledged that the critically injured will be airlifted to India through air ambulance.

“Government would bear all the medical expenses for the treatment of the injured,” said Dr Bhattarai.
