KATHMANDU: Indian Ambassador Jayant Prasad and German Ambassador to Nepal, Grafin von Roedern, have separately met Chairman of UCPN (Maoist) Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
During the meeting held at the UCPN-Maoist Party Office, Parisdanda, Dahal and Prasad held talks on contemporary political issues and constitution writing process, according to Chief of International Bureau of the UCPN (Maoist), Krishna Bahadur Mahara.
During the meeting, the Indian Ambassador inquired from Dahal about political disputes seen among the political parties and urged them to move ahead by forging consensus as early as possible, Mahara said.
In response, Chairman Dahal said discussions with the leaders of the Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) were underway to forge consensus, Mahara quoted Dahal as saying.
Dahal said that the political parties have been holding discussions to forge consensus for fresh CA election.
Similarly, German Ambassador Roedern, who is returning to Germany after completing her term in Nepal, made a farewell call to Chairman Dahal.
During the meeting, Chairman Dahal appreciated Roedern for her roles to further strengthen Nepal-Germany relations.
The two also held talks on increasing German assistance for Nepal's development projects.
Ambassador Roedern said the Government of Germany will continue the support to Nepal and wished for speedy completion of the peace process and writing constitution process.
