Prachanda serious about Far-West concerns

KATHMANDU: Chairman of the Unified CPN (Maoist), Pushpa Kamal Dahal, has said it has been felt that the protest by the people of the Far-west demanding undivided Far-western Development Region was a serious matter.
Receiving the memorandum submitted by the Undivided Far-west Struggle Committee on the premises of the Legislature-Parliament in Singha Durbar, today, he said the issue of Seti-Mahakali appears to be serious and gave assurances of holding talks with the government immediately in that regard.
The people from the Far-west Region have been staging various programmes of protest demanding to federalise the country without dividing the region while carrying out state restructuring citing the nine districts in the region have the inclusion of the mountain, hills and Tarai and they are interdependent.
