KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai claimed on Monday that president doesn’t hold the authority to sack him.
“If he dared, the move would be ultimately unconstitutional, illegitimate and against the democratic norms and standards,” said Dr Bhattarai in a talk-show due to be broadcasted by Himalaya TV on Monday evening.
The incumbent president and the prime minster were elected by the Constituent Assembly, which kicked the bucket on May 27.
PM’s claim came at a time when the oppositions have been piling pressure on president to relieve the premier by exercising the rights possessed by the head of the state.
