KATHMANDU: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav expressed a feeling of thankfulness and appreciation towards Japanese people.
President Yadav shared his gratitude towards Japan with the visiting Japanese Foreign Minister Koichiro Gemba, citing the assistance Japan has provided to Nepal in the field of infrastructure development and economic cooperation.
President’s appreciation comes as a run up to japans’ financial support of 250 million Yen per annum to Nepal for the increase of food production.
In the meeting held at the official residence of the president in Sheetal Niwas on Sunday, the duo also discussed the bilateral issues.
Before meeting President Yadav, Koichiro Gemba had met Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattara, wherein the latter sought Japanese assistance to Nepal during the Investment Year 2012 and Lumbini Year 2012.
Japan is religiously a Buddhist country, and economically a techno-industrial state.
