KATHMANDU: Far-west Ekata Samaj and the Samyukta Lotantrik Paribesh who have been enforcing indefinite strike in the districts of the Far-west region for past six days have burnt twenty-two Constituent Assembly (CA) lawmakers in effigy at the Campus Road in Dhangadi on Thursday.
On the seventh consecutive day of the indefinite bandh, protesters burnt the effigy of those CA lawmakers who have delivered words against the unified Far-west.
Ekata Samaj and Paribesh have called on the bandh protesting the UCPN-Maoist’s proposal to divide some parts of Kanchanpur and Kailali and include them in Tharuwan federal state during the state reconstructing process.
Markets, businesses, educational institutions have downed their shutters after demonstrators appealed to the general public to make the indefinite strike a success against the secession of the Far-West.

i believe not only farwesth the whole country should not be dicided on caste/race... it is seed for conflict....only need of country is decentralization with programmes for upliftment of underprivildedged and below poverty line people (bhramins/khsetrys are also as underpriviledged as the so called dalits). sarbahara, ktm
