KATHMANDU: At least a couple of public vehicles and a press van have been set ablaze
in Kathmandu Valley for defying the bandh imposed by various outfits, on Friday morning.
According to Kantipur Television, one of its vehicles ferrying office staff was set ablaze at Balaju. A person named Badri Neupane called up the TV's office and owned up the responsibility of the arson. At least two persons have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Likewise, bandh enforcers have vandalised a passenger bus in Lokanthali, Bhaktapur and a microbus in Dillibazar, Kathmandu in course of imposing the strike. They also vandalised some taxies in various locations of the Valley for defying the bandh, reports said.
