Rapti revenue collection exceeds target

DANG: The Inland Revenue Office, Tuslipur, collected revenue of Rs 355.7 million in the last fiscal year.
The Office had a target to collect revenue of Rs 291.1 million during the period. The Office collected Rs 64.6 million more than its target, some 29 per cent more than the target.
According to the Office, over Rs 225 million was collected from income tax, Rs 133.4 million from rent tax and Rs 13.2 million from interest tax.
Similarly, the office collected Rs 137.4 million from VAT, Rs 9.4 million from excise duty and Rs 3.36 million from education tax.
The office had collected revenue Rs 279 million in the previous fiscal year. The office collected the amount of revenue from 16,145 tax payers in different districts of Rapti zone.
