SIRAHA: Different organisations and philanthropists today distributed relief to 541 families of Aurahi, Siraha, who were affected by the blaze on Tuesday.

Ramnagar-based Everest Sugar and Chemicals Industries Limited of Mahottari and Himalaya Sugar Mills of Chandrayodhyapur today donated 50 quintals of rice, 2.5 quintals of potatoes, five quintals of sugar and five quintals of salt among other things.

Similarly, Chandeshwor Thakur of Krishnapur-3 donated two quintals of beaten rice and two quintals of sugar among other things.

Meanwhile, all the staff and health workers under the district health office of Siraha have decided to provide their one-day salary to the fire victims. Likewise, 30 staff of the district court of Siraha have donated their half-day salary for the fire victims. Law professionals affiliated to Nepal Bar Association have also collected Rs 40,000 for the victims.
