With many festivals happening here and there, the sixth month is going to be rocking and groovy and music lovers can take advantage to them to the fullest.

The 10th anniversary of Download will be three days of heavy rock music over three stages at Donington Park, the spiritual home of rock! In memory of Jim Marshall the main stage will this year be named after ‘the Father of Loud’. Among the performers, the latest additions are Skindred, Ghost, Saint Jude, Shadows Fall, My Passion, Feed The Rhino, La Dispute, Lawnmower Deth, Six Hour Sundown, Silent Descent, With One Last Breath among others while The Prodigy will headline the first day, Metallica on the second day playing their untitled Black Album in its entirety, and Black Sabbath will headline last day.

Rock Ness

Venue: Loch Ness, Scotland

The three-day long Rock Ness offers an eclectic selection of bands in a beautiful location on the banks of Loch Ness near Inverness, in Scotland. It returns for its seventh year. Mumford & Sons, Biffy Clyro, and Deadmau5 who headline with Justice, Ed Sheeran, Metronomy, Noah And The Whale, Wretch 32, DJ Fresh presents Fresh/Live, Claude Von Stroke, Animal Farm, Dave Clarke, The View, Soma Records, James Holden and many more is going to change the ambience.


Groovefest American Music Festival

Groovefest is always full of great musical surprises. It is one of the only events of it’s kind that is entirely free for people of all ages as the festival caters the folksy sound of blues, bluegrass. Claudia Russell and Bruce Kaplan, Nicole Campbell, Kate Macleod, Pete Anderson, Sister Wives, John Batdorf, Hymn For Her, Trevor Green to name a few will entertain whoever will come to be a part of the festival this year.

For one year only, this Festival is moving from its usual weekend to make way for the Golden Jubilee and half term celebrations. Top rock and indie names, legendary acts, and rising stars, will perform on a large main stage or the smaller tented stage in a relaxed festival atmosphere. On the night of June 22, the headliner will be Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers. One June 23 it will be none other than Pearl Jam, and Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will headline on June 24, with Elbow, Biffy Clyro, Noel Gallagher, Kelis, Miles Kane, Caro Emerald, Example, The Darkness to name a few. — Compiled
