Rs 89‚000 stolen overnight in twin burglaries

KATHMANDU: Property worth over Rs 89,000 has been stolen from different places in the Capital on Tuesday.
Police said burglars barged into Ramesh Prasad Pandey’s house based in Mandikhatar, KMC-8 and made off with cash and valuables worth over Rs 52,000 on Tuesday morning.
There was nobody in the house when the thieves broke into the house.
Similarly, property worth around Rs 37,000 was stolen from Shivanta Basnet (24)’s room based in Lokanthali, Bhaktapur.
The burglars barged into the room and fled with cash, gold jewellery, mobile set and gifts last night, the victim said.
Police are conducting a manhunt for the thieves and investigating into the incident.
