Sadbhavana Party kicks off fifth convention

JAQNAKPURDHAM: The fifth general convention of Sadbhavana Party (SP) has begun here from Friday with the slogan of 'Federal Democratic Republic Constitution'.
Altogether 1,321 delegates from 22 Tarai districts and 25 hilly districts are taking part in the general convention taking place at Tirhutiya Gachhi in Janakpur.
The three-day general convention shall elect 25 office-bearers including Chairperson for the formation of a 51-member new national executive committee.
Inaugurating the national convention, SP National Chairperson Rajendra Mahato stressed the need for people living in Madhesh, mountain and hilly region to move ahead together by understanding one another’s plights and problems.
He noted that the consensus government would explore resolution to the problems related to mass entry of Madhesi youths into Nepal Army, citizenship and inclusion, as they are under procedural discussion.
