KATHMANDU: Saipal Academy and Graded English Medium School (GEMS) won their respective matches of the second Ace Inter-college (A Level) Basketball Tournament here on Friday. In the girls’ round robin league, Saipal defeated Rupy’s International 20-4 and GEMS edged hosts Ace 16-13. In the boys’ section, Ace defeated Rato Bangala 24-15, Trinity routed GEMS 45-27, Rupy’s hammered Xavier Internaitonal 41-23 and Modern Indian School trounced Kathmandu University (KU) High School 39-8 to enter the quarter-finals. KU, meanwhile, have crashed out of the tournament.

Nepal in Nehru Cup

KATHMANDU: Nepal will be participating in the Nehru Cup International Football Tournament to be held in New Delhi from August 21 to September 2. Apart from Nepal and hosts India, Syria, Cameroon and Maldives will also take part in the tournament, said All Nepal Football Association in a release.
