KATHMANDU: International Marketing Services (IMS) — the authorised national distributor of Samsung mobile phones in Nepal — has launched the Samsung Galaxy Grand, which has been a hot favourite with millions across the world.

“There are over 20 different models of Samsung mobile phones with prices ranging from Rs 1,800 to Rs 70,000 being marketed by IMS in the market,” said executive chairman of IMS Deepak Malhotra.

Priced at Rs 37,500, the revolutionary smartphone with latest technology and features offers convenience of dual GSM-SIM connectivity, he said, adding the five-inch screen makes internet browsing and use of various apps a smooth and easy experience. “The 3G enabled phone features superior camera on the front and back face.” The Grand is a superb combination of a ‘tablet’ and ‘smartphone’ and delivers the best of both devices, he added.

It was launched in the Indian market a few weeks ago. IMS has brought together a special package by tying up with service providers. To make it accessible to all, a 12-month easy installment package at zero per cent interest is also being offered through various banks. As with Samsung Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II, IMS continues one-year free insurance cover for Galaxy Grand too.

Ncell data offer on smartphone

KATHMANDU: Ncell has joined hands with IMS to launch a new scheme ‘Ncell Chha Yesma’, which enables customers buying Samsung Galaxy Grand to readily enjoy Ncell data service. Ncell Chha Yesma will come into effect from March 17. “Under the scheme, customers buying Samsung Galaxy Grand from any authorised Samsung outlet will get Ncell data voucher card of 500MB, which will entitle them to enjoy 500MB data per month for three months, said corporate communications director at Ncell Sanju Koirala. If the buyer already has a Ncell sim card, they can instantly activate the facility through SMS, IVR or USSD, and start using the Ncell data service.
