LALITPUR: St Xavier’s School today said it is committed to providing quality education and preparing competent, committed and compassionate human beings.
Talking to mediapersons at St Xavier School, Godavari, on the occasion of diamond jubilee of the school, Fr Amrit Rai, principal of St Xavier’s School, Jawalakhel, said the main objective of the schools was to prepare morally sound human beings.
Fr Rai stated that besides teaching government-prescribed curricula, the schools focus on values education to make every student a good human being. “Every human being is good and intelligent in some aspect. We explore those aspects and try to make him/her perfect in it,”said Rai. St Xavier School is run by Nepal Jesuit Society –– one of the oldest social organisations serving the nation in the field of education, service and health for the last 60 years. The Jesuits are currently running five schools: St Xavier’s School-Godavari, St Xavier’s School-Jawalakhel, St Xavier’s College-Maitighar, St Xavier’s School-Deonia, Jhapa, and Moran Memorial School-Maheshpur, Jhapa. Two Jesuit Fathers are volunteering at Dongdang Devi Government High School in Tipling VDC of Dhading.
