KATHMANDU: The Film Directors' Society, Nepal is organizing the Second International Film Festival -2012 from February 9 to 15 in Dolakha.

At a news conference organized by the Society in Kathmandu on Saturday, President of the Society, KP Pathak said the objective of organizing the international film workshop is to promote the Nepali films in the international market by preserving and highlighting the unique Nepali culture.

The objective is also to discuss the modern trends and technology in film-making so as to modernize the Nepali cinema, he added.

Presentations on film script writing, visualization, shooting and editing would be made in course of the workshop.

Similarly films would be screened and the best films will be selected.

People associated with the film industry from India, South Korea, France and other countries would be attending the workshop. The First International Film Workshop was held in Chitwan last year.
