Secretariat calls for early integration

KATHMANDU: Secretariat under the Special Committee (for supervision, integration and rehabilitation of Maoist combatants) today said integration pro-cess of the former Maoist fighters should commence promptly.
“The idea of keeping both armies under a single roof for long could generate misunderstanding among the former foes — though this is not the case as of now,” Secretariat Coordinator Balananda Sharma told THT.
A military source, however, said that the selection committee formed for choosing eligible PLAs for the NA is making necessary arrangements before initiating the integration tasks
formally.
