DHULIKHEL: CPN-UML leader Bharat Mohan Adhikari today said Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai should tell the people when he was going to resign to show that his party was serious about promulgating the constitution.
Speaking at the Nepal Bank Limited Staffers Association-organised programme, Adhikari said, “The Prime Minister needs to resign and the big three parties and the Madhesi front need to agree to draft a democratic constitution,” said Adhikari.
Adhikari warned that people were bracing for a disaster as political parties are yet to forge consensus on issues of state-structuring and forms of governance.
The senior leader informed that his party would make public its view on the five-point agreement between three political parties and the Madhesi front after a Sunday’s party meeting.
“The Maoists are reluctant to promulgate the constitution by May 27 and impose totalitarianism in the country,” said Adhikari.
