KATHMANDU: ShahenShah-e-Ghazal (The King of Ghazal singing) Mehdi Hasan passed away at a hospital in Karachi on Wednesday.
Hassan, 84 was living with lung, chest and urinary tract ailments.
He died in the ICU of Aga Khan hospital, his family sources told PTI.
Hassan, 84, was born at Luna village of Rajasthan, in 1927 into a family of traditional musicians in 1927 before his family migrated to Pakistan after the partition.
