MT. EVEREST BASE CAMP: Kami Sherpa, 51, of Kerung-4 in Solukhumbu district has successfully scaled Mt. Everest three times in eight days.
Sherpa informed from the Mt. Everest Base Camp that he climbed the Mt. Everest two times in five days and the third time on the eighth day.
Sherpa has successfully scaled Mt. Everest three times in a season by scaling the highest peak at 10:30 am on May 19, May 24 at 3:00 pm and on May 27 at 4:00 am.
He claimed that these climbs have set the world record for him.
Sherpa had successfully scaled Mt. Everest in 1997 for the first time. With these climbs, he has scaled the Mt. Everest 14 times.
Climber Sherpa is also the first Vice-Chairman of the Mt. Everest Climbers' Association.
Sherpa will arrive in Kathmandu after a week and has set a programme to make public the proof of his climbing Mt. Everest three times in eight days through media.
He has now arrived at the Mt. Everest base camp. He also plans to draw the attention of the world community to the increasing temperature in the Himalayas.
Sherpa has been living at Kapan in Kathmandu of late.
