Shrestha set for parleys with Chinese counterpart

KATHMANDU: A meeting of Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jeichi is scheduled for Tuesday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China in Beijing.
Shrestha told THT that all bilateral issues between two countries will be figured during the meeting. Though he did not disclose the agenda in details, a senior official accompanying him said Nepali delegation would request Chinese side to increase investment in developmental and infrastructural sectors in Nepal as per the understanding reached during Premier Jiabao's visit.
Today, Chinese Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Fu Ying called on DPM Shrestha during when they discussed and agreed upon for the smooth and early implementation of the understanding made during Jiabao's visit, according to Ambika Luitel, China Division Chief at the MoFA.
