KATHMANDU: Ojasvi CB Singh scored 37 points to win the Everest Express Cup Golf here at the Royal Nepal Golf Club today.

Apart from the running trophy, Singh received round ticket to Singapore from Silk Air. He also won the longest drive award on Hole No 11. Kamra C Gurung came second with 34 points, while Shree Jay Acharya, who scored 30 points, won the best gross and best birdies award. Pawintra Yakthumba bagged the women’s section trophy on count back after she was tied with Pushpa Rai on 28 points. Rai also bagged the longest drive award on Hole No 2.

Capt Bishnu Kumar Rai finished first in senior section with 31 points, whereas Dr Singha B Basnyat came second with 30 points.Maj PL Thapa lifted the super senior section trophy, while Rahul Agrawal won the junior category award.

Other winners of the day included Shrihar SJB Rana (31st position), Pradeep SJB Rana (shortest drive), Gopal Chitrakar (closest to the Everest Express logo), Madhur Lal Sinnya (closest to the centre line), Charlie Gurung (closest to the pin) and Binay Raj Pandey (enthusiastic golfer).

Meanwhile, the organisers also raised funds — from the participants’ match fees and auction of Silk Air and golf items — for the benefit of Disable New Life Centre run by senior golfer RR Pandey. RNGC President Prachanda Bahadur Shrestha, Executive Chairman of Everest Express Tours & Travels Pvt Ltd RR Pandey, MD Chandra Lekha Pandey and Silk Air Country Manager Arasu Ettikkan gave away prizes to the winners.
