KATHMANDU: A Central Committee meeting of the Nepali Congress convened at the Party Office in Sanepa has decided to forward the resignation tendered by NC General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula and leader Surya Man Gurung.
Issuing a press release today, the party has called for all the stakeholders to gear up to forge consensus on the disputed issues to promulgate the new constitution by May 27.
“The prime minister’s move to extend the Constituent Assembly’s term was erroneous, which the party says, has been proved by the Supreme Court’s decision today,” the party said in a statement issued today.
The party has also called for all to maintain restraint, social harmony and goodwill to promulgate the federal democratic republic constitution by May 27, ensuring the identity, inclusiveness, equality and rights of the Nepali people.
