KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister Krishna Prasad Situala, also general secretary of Nepali Congress, on Friday claimed that the major parties are close to an understanding on the thorny issues related to the constitution-in-the-making and that it will be forged by Saturday morning.
According to the Reporters Club, Sitaula said that today morning’s meeting between Nepali Congress and UCPN-Maoist was positive and that the parties are holding discussion on various models of federalism and demarcation of new states.
He said the Maoist party, Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and the United Democratic Madhesi Front will reach an agreement on the issues from today evening to tomorrow morning.
