LALITPUR: Still clueless about the May 31 murder of Supreme Court Justice Rana Bahadur Bam in Lalitpur, police today rearrested his driver Asta Lama at his Ravi Bhawan-based room in the hope finding leads.
A high-level probe panel under AIG Kuber Singh Rana had detained Lama for three days and freed him on general date stating that his involvement in the plot had not been established. An official informed that the driver was arrested again based on a preliminary investigation report that he ‘may have been involved in the shooting indirectly’.
One-and-a-half-months into the ‘premeditated’ shooting at the hands of two motorcycle-borne gunmen, police are yet to establish the motive behind the crime, let alone arrest the shooters. Bam died in the shooting while two others got injured. The driver, an eyewitness to the shooting, was unhurt in the incident.
