Solukhumbu village puts 13 locals atop Everest

SOLUKHUMBHU: A total of 13 persons of a village in Solukhumbhu district successfully scaled the world's highest peak Mount Everest on Saturday.
Thirteen Sherpa people along with eight US citizens reached atop Mt Everest on May 26, according to Ang Dawa Sherpa, Liaison Officer of the Ministry of Tourism. The climbers reached the peak from 8:00 am to 9:00 am on Saturday.
All the Sherpa climbers hail from Kurima of Lokhim VDC in Solukhumbu district.
