KATHMANDU: A Cabinet meeting held at Singha Durbar on Thursday extended the term of the Special Committee (for supervision, integration and rehabilitation of the Maoist combatants) by three more months. The Special Committee’s term had expired on August 16.

KATHMANDU: Thursday’s Cabinet meeting formed a five-member panel to present a report on the issues of hotels, lodges and resorts that operate within Chitwan National Park. Despite government’s decision to vacate these tourism businesses from wildlife area, the hotel owners are still lobbying for the renewal of their contract already terminated by the Cabinet decision.
