KATHMANDU: Akhil Nepal Sukumbasi Sangh (ANSS) on Wednesday expressed its loyalty to the UCPN-Maoist and renewed its commitment to the line adopted by the party,
"Announcement of party split by the radical faction led by Comrade Kiran (Mohan Baidhya) has marred the spirit of patriotic, revolutionary and change aspiring people," ANSS Chairman Deepak Rai and General Secretary Pushkar B.K. said in a joint statement. The ANSS is the squatters' body affiliated with the Maoist party.
The ANSS criticised Mohan Baidhya, the chairman of split away party, for his "double standards", saying he at times preaches for the preservation of republic, federalism and secularism while on the other hand makes demand of a roundtable meeting which clearly indicates the faction's defeated psyche without clear-cut roadmap.
The Maoist sister organisation further urged all the leaders and cadres of the party to gather up under the party flag without being deluded by the party split.
