LALITPUR: Arishma Shrestha scored 18 points as St Xavier's defeated Kathmandu University 31-21 to advance to the girls' section semi-finals of the KCM Basketball Bash here on Thursday. Xavier's will face Group A winners Prime, who beat hosts Kathmandu College of Management (KCM) 33-10 riding on Nayana Shakya's 12 points. The other semi-final pits Premier and Golden Gate. In boys' section, Bipin Baidya netted 18 points in Prime's 62-16 victory over KU. In a meaningless encounter, St Xavier's outplayed CAB 46-16 with Suvash Sharma contributing 16 points. In Saturday's quarter-final matches, it's: Prime vs Xavier International, Premier vs K&K, Golden Gate vs LACM and VS Niketan vs NASA.
