KATHMANDU: The Prime Minister’s Office has formed separate committees to suggest ways to minimise road accidents and control market prices. Chiranjivi Paudel, deputy spokesperson for the PMO, said a three-member team under Public Procurement Office Secretary Dhan Bahadur Tamang will work on road accidents while Commerce Secretary Lal Mani Joshi will head the panel on market prices. The committees have been told to report by the end of August.

One held with heroin

KATHMANDU: Police on Tuesday arrested Birendra Kumar Sah (27) of Nepalgunj- 8, Banke and Karan Thapa Magar (22) of Ramkot with heroin in an undisclosed location of the capital city. Investigators informed that they were caught in possession of nine gram heroin. They are suspected to have been involved in peddling drugs.
