KATHMANDU: Sunny — one of the most popular models from the Nissan stable — is expected to roll out in the Nepali market this May. Dugar Brothers and Sons (DBS), Nissan division, is all set to introduce two variants of the latest version of the luxury sedan by the end of May. According to DBS, they are also planning to launch the much-awaited Nissan Micra (entry-level car) simultaneously with the 2012 model sedan.“Since Nissan Sunny has already earned its name in the domestic market, we are con-fident that the new model of the car will receive a favourable response as well,” said Mahesh Ghimire, senior manager at Nissan division, DBS. “Initially, we will bring the petrol version of the car, and later we also plan to introduce the diesel version,” he said, adding that they are expecting to sell over 100 units of the model within the first year. According to him, the luxury sedan will be tentatively priced at around Rs 4 million.
New Sunny has an appealing look, chiefly due to its superior design. This car is available in five variants — three in petrol versions and two in diesel versions. However, DBS will only be introducing two variants of petrol version in the first phase. Equipped with 4-cylinder 1498 cc engine, Sunny ensures the maximum torque of 134 Nm at 4000 rpm and maximum power of 97 bhp at 6000 rpm. The length of this luxury car is large in comparison of other sedan cars. The luxurious vehicle has a length of 4,425 mm, width of 1,695 mm and height measuring 1,505 mm.The Japanese car is full of essential as well as additional safety and comfort features. Sunny is equipped with power windows, central locking system through remote and air bags, which ensure passenger security. Meanwhile, it also boasts of features like power steering, control system for climate, adjustable mirrors, air conditioner, mp3 player with four speakers, et cetera that offer extra comfort and luxury.The new Sunny also comes with new stylish headlights and tail lamps resembling the Max-ima. Sunny has also reportedly got new bumpers, a new interior and new body colour choices. Nissan claims the new Sunny offers comfortable city driving by reducing frequent acceleration and delays. It also reduces environmental impact as a leader of the projected fuel economy class. The exterior design and looks of the sedan are quite stylish and contemporary. It has alloy wheels, fog lamps and also some Chrome features like front grille, rear garnish et cetera.Sunny comes designed to meet medium sedan with dynamic high-end space and quality, along with the unbeatable allure of the Nissan brand.
