KATHMANDU: Designer clothes are always desirable, but not everyone can afford it and it is not available everywhere. Despite all this, what if you get to buy designer clothes in the Capital at a reasonable price? Along with being unbelievable, it will be enthralling as well. And SaDa brand collection has made many women’s dream come true by exhibiting a collection of designer casual and smart casual at Tara Orientals, Lazimpat from April 27 to 28 priced from Rs 2,000 to Rs 10, 000.

Varieties at the exhibition were ample with chikan work, Parsi work, embroidery, kimono sleeves shirts, kimono Bhutanese style kurtis with Parsi work, Afghani tops... on display. Even the materials were taken care of with pure linen, cotton and georgette and “a few with ribbon nets,” said Daljit Sudan, one of the organisers of the event and the designer of the collection. The best part about the collection was that you could match the kurtis with either chudidars or pants “giving it a hint of both traditional and western look,” added Sudan.

Regarding the designs, did they have a specific set of ideas to cater to people in Kathmandu? “People here have a very good sense of dressing and we cannot just give them anything, so the clothes available here are brought from Kashmir, Kolkata, Delhi, Lucknow to name a few,” said Sadhana Keshava, one of the organisers and designer of the collection. Also all the designs are “exclusive and have not been

repeated”.
