BUTWAL: General Secretary of the CPN-Maoist, Ram Bahadur Thapa, has said that solution to the existing political crisis should be sought only from an all-party round table conference.
At a press meet organised by the Federation of Revolutionary Journalists and the CPN (Maoist) Awadh State Committee in Butwal today, Thapa alleged that big political parties invited this crisis by dissolving the Constituent Assembly (CA).
Stating that the political outlet could not be made until the present government continues, he said that now an outlet should be given from street agitation, as parties, which are in the government, have a mentality not to step down rather than forge consensus, though talks are going on for the resolution of the political crisis.
Thapa clarified that his party was ready to forge consensus on any alternative—reinstatement of the CA, elections to the CA, parliamentary elections and referendum—for resolution of the political crisis and added that consensus will only be forged through a round table conference and unity government.
However, General Secretary Badal said that his party will not participate in the agitation to be launched by the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML against the government, but there will be co work and coordination with them to remove the government.
He said that a joint front of other fringe leftist parties under the leadership of the CPN-Maoist will launch an agitation for the same.
