The moral side of failure

NISCHAL NEPAL

Life is really hard. Do you know what’s harder? Realising at 40 that you are nothing but a failure. It’s a terrible waste of human brain, what people expect of you and the most vital thing is what you expect of yourself.

I came across the above lines as a facebook status as you and I update to gain likes and few comments. After coming across it, my mind got stricken as was Newton’s by the falling apple off the tree.

I keep on thinking again and again whether failure really amounts to a terrible waste of human brain. I instantly clicked like a button as I was somehow impressed with the line, but I had a restless mind and wondered a lot. I wanted to be the first person to debate this but nothing came in my mind to comment.

I remember what Einstein had quoted, “Try to be man of value not of success.” I favour him as his thinking is something that can pacify my mind and answer my curiosity.

We, humans always strive for success and the dream we dream is just an Utopia. We have always prayed for success and never failure. We have or always been with the massive zeal to pay the price to be a successful person and to earn a name as big shots have. But, I am curious to know whether success really exists with the high definition of value.

Like Einstein, I too opt for value. The intrinsic value that you possess and earn rather than success.

If you had been able to build up value within your life, gain different levels of experiences, then gone are the days of no luck to be worried, although, you don’t get success in your life. Failure means you have not achieved success but it doesn’t imply that you don’t possess any value. There is a touch of genius even in failure and failure just can’t be termed as a terrible waste of human brain. Only those persons who try for something new err and to err is human.

The majority of people believe and label individuals as genius if he has been a successful guy. But, there’s no consideration given for the value possessed by an individual. A man of value is someone who has strong sense of imagination and who knows imagination and self creation is far more important than knowledge.

Learning facts is not tougher than creating a new thing. The moral side of failure is you don’t need to spend your time on doldrums only the reason being failure until and unless you have built up value within yourself. This transmission of message is not what I exactly want but the proper transformation of image of being a person of value is more vital than success.
