KATHMANDU: Police said on Saturday afternoon that some theft and robbery cases were reported in Kathmandu on Friday.

Jewellery worth Rs 13.32 lakh was stolen on Friday night from a rented flat of Dinesh Shakya in Chhetrapati yesterday. The family members were away at the time of burglary.

In another case of robbery, property worth Rs 2.38 lakh was stolen from the Jorpati-based hostel, Optimistic Children and Youth Home Nepal, last night.

Meanwhile, a gang barged into the Putalisadak-based Aroma Consultancy and took away computers and their accessories on Friday late afternoon. Police said that Umesh Khanal and Nishan Rai took to the robbery for Lila Thapa, the Consultancy's proprietor, did not paid the sum Rs 1.93 lakh borrowed from them earlier .The duo was accompanied by about six hooligans.

Police said they are looking into the incidents.
