This is with reference to the news ”Justice Bam murder a threat to judiciary, says probe report” (THT, Oct 8, Page 1).This is a serious charge and it’s a threat to all of us. The
criminals have targeted and killed Justice Rana Bahadur Bam as he was dealing with numerous fragile cases. This has terrorized and created fear among not only the lawyers and justices but also among the general people. The common man is always in fear as to how their day is going to be. Will they be able to return home? These are the questions that arises in almost all the people. If the high profile government officers are not safe then how can the
general people be safe?
Various armed groups and forces from the Tarai are taking the responsibility after committing the crime which is making a mockery of the police. The police are clueless in finding the culprits even after the criminals themselves have owned up for the crime.
However, the law enforcement agencies must keep on working to nab the culprits and stop them from doing such acts.

Exciting
It is really an exciting news that during Indra Jatra in Kathmandu which took place last week females pulled the chariot of Lord Indra, the Hindu god of rainfall, which created history. It was the first time in Nepalese history that such an event took place. This really shows that women can also succeed in whichever task they take in their hands if they have dedication, determination, and motivation. Women can also perform in every field as well as men if they really make a serious attempt from their side.

Unfathomable
According to the statements by political analysts recently, it is unfathomable for us why the Maoists triggered the bloodshed of 15,000 people to emasculate multiparty democracy only to join it after a decade. It is evident that the Maoists joined the multiparty democracy to establish people’s democracy through parliamentary elections for the CA. There was no other
option because the insurgency was showing the signs of defeat in the bloody revolution in the battle field.

Lethargic
This refers to the news “Justice delayed, dismissed
or denied?” (THT, Oct 6, Page 1). This is the vivid example of
our corrupt and the lethargic judicial system. It is heart pinching that poor 71- years’-old Yadav’s case has been still pending since thelast 26 years.
In the meantime, there are thousands of cases in the
courts pending since decades. As per the media news, the property case of two families which has not yet been settled since the last 37 years is now at the Supreme Court.
