Three held for robbery at Balaju-based guest house

KATHMANDU: Police said on Wednesday that they have arrested three persons on charge of robbery from Balaju of Kathmandu.
Identified as Bishal Rai, Manoj Gurung and Ashish Bidari, they had barged into a room at the Balaju-based Dhading Guest House where Tej Bahadur Gurung was staying and robbed him of Rs 8,100 in cash and a cellular mobile phone at around 10 pm yesterday night.
All of them are in their early 20s and hail from Garamuni of Jhapa. They were currently residing in Banansthali area of Kathmandu.
A team of security personnel round up the trio from the area soon after the police were informed about the incident.
Police said they confiscated Rs 3000 in cash and a mobile phone from the alleged robbers’ possession.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
