KATHMANDU: Top leaders of the 27 political parties have thronged Sheetal Niwas this morning to consult President Dr Ram Baran Yadav for a possible way out to the existing political crisis and constitutional hurdles.
According to Press Advisor to the President, Rajendra Dahal, President is holding parleys with political parties as they have failed to forge consensus and end the current impasse.
According to Dahal, the Head of the State is seeking the leaders’ view to relieve the country out of the present political stalemate.
Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai is also attending the meeting.
Following the dissolution of the Constituent Assembly on May 27, President has not been holding meetings time and again but neither the government nor the political parties were able to find a way out to the political impasse in the last two months.
But today, President is seeking opinion of parties on the election, consensus government, ordinances and other thorny issues.
President has reiterated repeatedly that he won’t cross the constitutional limit despite oppositions have been urging him to act in order to end the present crisis.
