KATHMANDU: The closed session of the CPN-UML-aligned sixth national conference of All Nepal Women Association (ANWA) prohibited one of the contenders vying for the leadership of the association on Sunday.
The former minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare Urmila Aryal was not allowed to enter the closed session by the supporters of the Vice Chairperson of the CPN-UML Bidhya Bhandari arguing that Bhandari should be anonymously reelected as the head of ANWA.
The conference is underway in Pokhara for past two days to elect a new leadership and to finalise the future strategy for the association.
