KATHMANDU: Today’s meeting of the big three political parties—the UCPN-Maoist, the CPN-UML, and the Nepali Congress(NC)—convened to mull over the proposed ordinance upon the formation of Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) and the Commission on Inquiry into Disappearances (CID), ended inconclusively.
Saying that the draft bills finalized by the Law Ministry don’t meet the prerequisite of the political parties, Sunday’s meet held at Singha Durbar adjourned without making any headway, sources confirmed.
The main principle of the proposed two bills is to provide justice to the victims of both the state and Maoist rebels during the decade-long Maoist insurgency.
