KATHMANDU: Police on Saturday night arrested Kamal Gurung (20) and Babin Shrestha (21) with a khukuri and a rod at Naya Bazaar. They are preparing to initiate action against the two on the charge of terrorising the public and disturbing peace.

Fatal truck knock

KATHMANDU: Kumar Lama (24) of Makwanpur was killed on Sunday after a truck (Ba 1 Kha 6600) hit a telephone wire pole he was working on at Chhaling, Bhaktapur. The truck driver has been arrested.

Poperty robbed

KATHMANDU: An identified gang broke into the house of Nawaraj Tamang in Chalnakhel on Sunday and decamped with cash and gold ornaments worth over Rs 1.75 lakh. Police have launched a search to nab the culprits, officials informed.

Tipper-hit kills biker

KATHMANDU: Krishna Kumar Maharjan (24) of Kavre died after a tipper (Ba 2 Kha 8990) hit the motorcycle (Ko 4 Pa 558) he was riding on in Sinamangal on Saturday evening. Badri Thapa (29) of Sindhuli, who was riding pillion, was injured in the incident. Thapa, an employee at the Tribhuvan Army Club, has been receiving treatment at the Sinamangal-based KMC Hospital. The driver has been arrested.
