KATHMANDU: The central committee meeting of the Unified CPN-Maoist is taking place at the party headquarters in Peris Danda, first time after the party split on Thursday.
The meeting is expected to dwell on the political document put forth by the party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal in the politburo meeting on last Monday, sources said.
The document stresses to consolidate the party by doing away with the practice of factionalism.
The document, following the discussion by the central committee members, will be submitted in the plenum slated for July 25-26 at Bhrikutimandap in the Capital. The party claims that around 5000 leaders and cadres will participate in the plenum representing the state committees.
